Save Our wild Salmon is deeply grateful for the remarkable efforts of the first responders and the coordination and leadership of Washington and Oregon Governors, local, state and federal leaders, and communities fighting the devastating fires across our region. Our hearts go out to all of our community members impacted by the fires in Spokane and throughout Colville, Yakama Nation, and Warm Springs lands.

We will continue to find meaningful ways to support communities as they work to recover and rebuild, and we will stay steadfast in our commitment to address the impacts of the ongoing climate crisis, protecting our lands, waters, salmon–and supporting each other!

Here are some ways to support communities impacted by the fires right now:

Spokane Fire Complex: The City of Spokane is accepting donations to support impacted community members here. Available resources for impacted individuals can be found here.

Kaiser Canyon wildfire: Donate to the Colville Wildfire Relief & Recovery Fund, which is providing direct assistance to communities impacted by recent wildfires on the Colville Indian Reservation. For those impacted, click here for information on getting assistance with completing disaster relief forms.

Signal Peak wildfire: Donate to the Yakama Nation Tribal government, which is accepting donations to support impacted families. More information on needs and resources available to those impacted can also be found here.

Bench Fire: Material donations to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon can be dropped off at the Old School Cafeteria (Warm Springs, OR). Impacted community members can also access resources at this location.
