Between now and year's end, we are offering some great gifts and raffle prizes as part of our year-end fundraising campaign.
Coffee: The first 50 donors of $25 or more will receive a free half-pound of coffee from Grounds for Change – a Northwest-based shade-grown, carbon-free, fair-trade coffee company and long-time SOS supporter.
T-shirts and fleece hats: For donations of $75 or more, donors can receive for either a t-shirt (salmon artwork by Eileen Klatt) or a fleece SOS hat, to keep your brain warm this winter!
"Salmon books" signed by the author: For donations of $100 or more, donors can receive for a signed copy of Salmon in the Trees by Amy Gulick. Winner of the 2010 Independent Publisher Book Award, and 2011 Nautilus Book Award.
For donations of $150 or more, donors can receive for a signed copy of Elwha – A River Reborn, by award-winning reporter and author Lynda Mapes and photographer Steve Ringman.
Finally, the Raffle: For every $25 donated, you’ll be awarded 1 virtual raffle ticket. (e.g. a $100 donation equals 4 tickets). We'll hold the raffle drawing in the first few days of January, with art awards sent by mid-January. This year, we are offering five beautiful pieces of artwork from two generous and talented Northwest artists: Lisa McShane and Eileen Klatt. Images of the artwork and information about the artists is below. SOS is extremely appreciative of Lisa and Eileen for their generous donations as part of our year-end fundraising efforts.

Lisa McShane is an artist based in Bellingham, Washington who often paints Northwest landscapes, including in the Columbia Basin. She has lived and worked in Washington State most of her life. She is an accomplished artist who has shown her work in galleries throughout the Northwest and internationally.

Inspired by her love of salmon and their plummeting populations, Eileen Klatt painted “A Litany of Salmon,” 61 life-size watercolors documenting the existing salmon in the Columbia River Basin. This collection is available for exhibition.
The four prints she has generously donated to SOS are part of this larger collection.
